BUFFALO, NY-June 11, 2007- Campus Calm is excited to announce a fall college speaking tour with award-winning author Courtney E. Martin.

Topic is: How to Stress Less and Ditch Your Inner Perfectionist. Martin is the author of the new book, Perfect Girls, Starving Daughters: The Frightening New Normalcy of Hating Your Body.

Campus Calm (www.campuscalm.com) was founded by Maria Pascucci, a 28-year-old web entrepreneur, to help stressed-out high school and college students reach success without suffering the ill effects of anxiety, depression and body image issues.

Both self-described perfect girls, Martin and Pascucci want students everywhere to question the new normalcy of anxiety on college campuses. This is a call to action to stop obsessing and start changing the world.

Students will learn:

how perfectionism can make you sick

why eating disorders are so rampant on college campuses today & how you can break the cycle

how to combat anxiety, depression and insomnia and still excel in demanding academic environments

how to develop a sense of identity that has nothing to do with grades, awards or designer jeans

"This speaking tour will empower students everywhere to choose to make their health a priority and to look at the big picture before they graduate," said Pascucci.

"We were a generation told, 'You can be anything,' and instead we heard 'You have to be everything,'" explained Martin. "This is a chance for young people to discuss the pressure so rampant on college campuses with experts they can relate to."
