Attention College Event Planners:
High School and College Speaker, Maria Pascucci, Announces New Savings Package for Spring and Fall 2010 Semester Bookings

What students are saying ...

As a current college student, I know what the meaning of "stressed-out is. After attending Maria's lecture, she taught me to remove the word "can't" from my vocabulary, and instead think about how something can/should be done. Her organization offers support for students and teaches them to "chill out." I feel more relieved and stress free after attending her presentation, and wish she taught a Stress Management class at my school!
~ Brigid Randisi, Sophomore, Canisius College

Dear Maria:
I am writing in regards to the wonderful presentation you gave at Trocaire College last week. You have been able to combine all the suggestions and advice for students struggling with perfectionism and grades into an easy to follow program. Your willingness to open up and share your own personal experiences let students connect with you and know they are not alone. "Stressed-Out Students..." was well received not only by our students but our staff who attended the program. Thank you again for visiting Trocaire!

~Anthony Funigiello, Associate Dean of Student Affairs, Trocaire College

Maria,
Your presentation was very important to me. Your positive advice really made me look at how I deal with my academic stress. Thank you so much for signing a copy of your book for me, too. I really appreciate that!

~Bill McDermott

Maria:
I wanted you to know that your "Stressed-Out Students" presentation was fantastic! It was great to see the students eager to interact on this cruci

When 'A' Equals Anxiety:

How to ditch your inner perfectionist to be an inspiring student leader

*Leadership keynote: 45 or 60 minutes
(Ideal for any leadership conference or event targeting high-achieving students)

Real, hard knocks life experience from a ladder-leaping young leader who has "been there and done that" and can’t wait to show your student leaders how they can too! Maria Pascucci, president of CampusCalm.com, is no stranger to the pressures that young leaders face. This summa cum laude college graduate lived the sleepless nights, the unspoken anxieties and knows all about the secret conversations of a generation of rising leaders who believe it’s acceptable, even necessary, to sacrifice health and happiness in pursuit of the spotless success portfolio. Give this former college perfectionist turned author, speaker and change-maker an hour of your time and she will teach your student leaders how to capture the true joy that should permeate every part of going to college. Lead the world toward extraordinary change, and lead yourself to bed before midnight. With grace and humor, Maria leads to show you how!

Points covered:
1. Discover how perfectionism can make you sick.
2. Examine the top four myths that cause students to stress and overachieve.
3. Demonstrate four strategies to be a stronger, more successful leader for life.
4. Learn how to develop a sense of identity aside from grades, awards, or material goods.
And much more!

I have been sacrificing sleep and killing myself to achieve numerical success in college. I beat myself up over anything less than perfection. I may appear outwardly successful, but my life has been a living hell. Maria Pascucci’s presentation was the wakeup call of my life!

~Bryan, Senior, Erie Community College

Maria, your use of personal anecdotes made you more humanly connected to the audience and more qualified to offer us advice. I recommend you taking this presentation to other colleges because throughout the presentation the students could connect to the situations you described and the positive way you end the presentation with tips, then a Q&A session leaves the audience feeling less stressed and more positive.
~Meghan Tertocha, Junior, Coordinator of Celebrate Every Body Week, University of Virginia

Through Maria Pascucci, one can find the true "secrets" to understanding how perfectionism, low self-esteem, and a loss of sleep and nutrition will affect all aspects of a person’s life. Campus Calm ultimately speaks that a healthy, happy life filled with love and gratitude is not the key to success, but success itself.
~Alex, Junior, Kellenberg Memorial High School

Hire Maria Pascucci To Speak At Your Event!

Every college student, regardless of background or institution, should be introduced to Maria Pascucci's ten mindsets to creating a campus calm. Maria pitched this advice to a group of female students, all searching for ways to make it through the end of the semester while preventing stress. She opened herself up by telling her personal story of being an undergraduate at Canisius with a dual major and a minor. She was so focused on having perfect grades and preparing her resume that she forgot to schedule in the most important part of the day, "Me Time." Maria offered up advice to the students present that she wished she would have followed as an undergraduate. I feel that Maria could definitely relate to many of the current "stressed-out" students on campus. Overall, Maria has great advice to offer to students preparing to enter the job market and should certainly continue to speak to students on college campuses.
~Kathleen Farley, Hall Director, Office of Residence Life
1st year Graduate Student, College Student Personnel Administration Canisius College
