Campus Calm Seeks College Women Interns

Message from Maria Pascucci, Founder & President of Campus Calm

Do you have a passion for women’s leadership? Are you an aspiring writer, blogger, editor, publicist, or even women’s health or women’s rights activist? Maybe you want to launch a business of your own someday that helps to change the world, or perhaps work for a socially conscious PR firm, freelance or write your own best-selling book?

Are you looking for a fabulous thing to put on your resume? How about a reference who will sing your praises and be your greatest cheerleader as you explore your own career aspirations? Or how about simply the opportunity to help spread the message worldwide that “Healthy, Resilient Women Lead!” Then you may be the intern I’m looking to mentor!

I am seeking savvy, self-motivated, accountable, enthusiastic interns with a passion for leadership and story telling to join me in my mission to improve the lives of the next generation of women who will lead the world alongside men. Our mission is to deliver calm, confidence and well-being for today’s young and ambitious woman who wants to be in charge without sacrificing her health or self in the process. By “in charge” we do not necessarily mean being in a formal position of authority or power, but a more encompassing definition of being in charge of our own lives, role modeling the change we wish to seek in the world.

Are you looking for a mentor who will show you the ropes and help you out the way my many amazing mentors helped me? Then I can’t wait to meet you!

Here’s the scoop:

This is an immediate opening requiring about three to ten hours a week (we can be flexible with your schedule!). Initially, this is a non-paid internship position for female high school juniors and seniors, or college women, with the opportunity for compensation down the road. We also offer our interns the option to receive affiliate commission for helping us promote our leadership products, although promotion is not a requirement of this internship. Geography is not relevant – all work will be done over phone and email. Campus Calm has so many new and exciting things going on and we need help!

Bonus 1: In addition to my personal guidance, if you would like to set up an information interview with any of my Campus Calm LeadHer experts, I will gladly make it happen for my intern. All of our experts are awesome people who love to connect with student leaders, and young professionals.

Bonus 2:
I have a background in advertising copywriting and in writing resumes. Any intern who chooses to work with me will be entitled to a free resume critique and resume revamp, with your collaboration, to help you land fantastic future jobs! I have seen the best of resumes and the worst, so I know what works and what doesn’t.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating to write, edit and helping to distribute press releases and media pitches for Campus Calm, with a focus on generating national and international press
  • Editing articles for the Campus Calm website, blog and for the Campus Calm Connections e-zine (e-mail newsletter).
  • Opportunity to write articles for publication on the Campus Calm website, Campus Calm Connections newsletter and serve as a columnist for the Campus Calm blog!
  • Publicizing and contributing to Campus Calm’s annual “Campus LeadHer Success Kit” through writing, researching, comprising interview questions and possibly co-interviewing women’s leadership guest experts
  • Compiling and analyzing the latest women in leadership research studies with special emphasis on perfectionism as a barrier to leadership and how resilience is the new leadership advantage in the 21st century
  • Researching and seeking out partnership prospects with other like-minded companies to further Campus Calm’s reach
  • Connecting with colleges and women’s organizations
  • Transcribing phone interviews with experts to be featured in Campus Calm articles and future products
  • Supporting me in the process of publicizing my book, Campus Calm University: The college student’s 10-step blueprint to stop stressing and create a happy, purposeful life. Campus Calm University was awarded a gold medal in the 13th Annual Independent Publisher Book Awards
  • Help me expand Campus Calm’s social media presence. Connect with college women leaders worldwide and enlist them in our mission to show the world that “Healthy, Resilient Women Lead.”

*Note: Responsibilities may include combinations of the above tasks, but no single intern will perform all of them, and certainly not all at once!

If you are interested, please send me a cover letter and resume with INTERN in the subject header to: maria@campuscalm.com. Don’t be afraid to let your personality shine through in your cover letter and remember, I’m not looking for perfection, I’m looking for your passion! If you have relevant writing samples, please send them too.

Oh, and no need to address the message to “Ms. Pascucci” – Maria will do just fine! :-)

Ever after in faith of ourselves,
Maria
