Multitasking & Moneysaving Gone Too Far? …

So my husband Shaun was dying my hair light copper chestnut the other day with a paint brush (cue the snickers). After he was finished, the instructions on the box said we had to let the color set for 40 minutes. Being the busy working woman that I am, I’m always on the lookout for creative ways to multitask and save time. So as my husband slathered up my hair, I began thinking of things I could do for 40 minutes. My thoughts played out like this:

“Do laundry?” Nah.

“Clean the house.” Nah.

“Exercise.” Nah. The hair dye would trickle down my face while I sweat…

WAIT! What if I put on a plastic hair net like the kind my grandma sports when it’s raining out? I think I have a shower cap somewhere…

Ten minutes later, here I am working out to my favorite exercise DVD (Shaun T’s Hip Hop Abs Booty Shakin’).

Time Savings: 40 minutes
Salon Trip Savings: $$
Gym Membership Savings: $$$

The look on Shaun’s face when I asked him to take a picture of me working out with a plastic bag on my head: Priceless.

Bonus: Money Savings = business development funding! (If you launch a business, you’ll likely be on the lookout for creative way to cut costs on “personal development for the CEO” without sacrificing lifelong learning opportunities!). :)

So I ask you: Is this multitasking & moneysaving gone too far? What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done to multitask? Leave me a comment!
