Freshman Transition Expert’s Tip of the Month – December

Finals have either begun or will begin soon for you. This is the end to a ‘first’ experience in your life. Finals represent the chance for you to demonstrate all that you have learned and acquired over the last 3 months.

All new experiences in life can, at times, make one feel apprehensive and unsure of his/her own ability and of his/her confidence. Let me conclude with one of my favorite quotes on perseverance. You should feel proud to be completing your first semester in college.

Don’t be afraid to give your best to what seemingly are small jobs.  Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger.  If you do the little jobs well, the big ones will tend to take care of themselves.  ~Dale Carnegie
