Tips to Stay Happy, Fit and Healthy Throughout the Holidays
With Thanksgiving around the corner, and the winter holidays soon following, your mind may already be buzzing with a to-do list that could last you through the New Year.
This year resolve to keep things simple- which may help you to stay healthier and happier, and keep things in perspective. Try following these 4 simple tips to keep your energy high, stress low, and body happy.
1) DON’T try to accomplish everything at once. DO make just one small change at a time, such as adding a new fitness class each week.
2) DON’T set impossible deadlines. DO create attainable goals and time lines, and be flexible to changing them when things get hectic. Instead of having a to do list for only 1 day, prioritize your list, and give yourself 48 hours to accomplish the rest of your to do list.
3) DON’T expect your new lifestyle changes to happen over night. DO acknowledge that you have some bad habits that will require some hard work, and consistency to change. Then, make sure you follow through with your plan.
4) DON’T give into to temptation. DO help your friends and family develop healthier habits through the holiday season, by introducing them to your favorite fitness studio, sharing your healthy holiday recipes, and your favorite stress busting tips. By creating a support system you will all be able to work together to create happier, healthier lives.
