Generosity: The Ultimate Gift

It’s the holiday season! It’s the time of year we are making our lists and checking them twice. This year, I encourage you to add one thing to your list – a gift for someone else. Life is all about giving. When we give of ourselves, we get so much more in return. If you want to experience the true joy of the season, give to others.
The opportunities to give are endless. Get creative. If you had one extra hour, what could you do to make the holidays special for someone else? If you took $20 and bought a gift for someone, what would you buy? What if you recruited some of your friends and adopted another family who was in need this year? Bake a big batch of chocolate chip cookies and take them to your local fire station. Go caroling at a local nursing home. Serve a meal at a local homeless shelter.
You have the power to make a difference this holiday season. Imagine a world where everyone was focused on giving rather than receiving. Imagine be surrounded by people who thought of others before they thought of themselves. Being generous this holiday season will be the ultimate gift.
Happy holidays from our family to yours.
